Where your data lives

Your data is hosted in the region that fits your agency:
- US (East)
- EU (Amsterdam)
- Southeast Asia (Singapore)
- Your region is chosen during onboarding based on your location, and it never changes without your prior consent.
- We’re happy to share the full list of available regions on request.
Backups, replication and access
Replication
- A standby database node takes over automatically if the primary node fails. It runs in the same region as the primary.
Backups
- Backups run daily, with point-in-time recovery for the last 7 days.
Access
- Office users have role-based permissions.
- Staff in the app see only their own shifts, the events they are invited to and their own documents.
- Client portal users see only their own events and the staff assigned to them.
- Each agency’s data is isolated from every other agency.
GDPR and your data
You are the controller of your staff data and Staff Buddy processes it on your behalf. We sign a data processing agreement on request.

Export and continuity
You can export everything at any time, at no charge, in formats you can open.
If Staff Buddy is ever discontinued, you get 90 days’ written notice.
